About
Welcome to my corner of the humanitarian world!
I’m your guide, an experienced humanitarian leader who has been knee-deep in crises, navigating the chaos to find effective solutions.
Whether it’s haggling over logistics in a packed coordination meeting, rallying a team in the middle of nowhere, or finding the humanity in the everyday grind of humanitarian work, I’ve probably been there (and yes, I still love it).
Who am I? Well, let’s keep that a mystery for now. Anonymity lets me share insights, tips, and occasionally hilarious (or harrowing) anecdotes without worrying about stepping on the wrong toes. But rest assured, I’ve got the credentials, the field stories, and the gray hairs to prove it.
You can call me Luca for now. I hope you like my pen name!
Here’s what you’ll find in this newsletter:
Practical insights: Straightforward advice to help you lead effectively, even when the internet is spotty and morale is lower than a desert water table.
Global trends: Quick updates and thoughtful analysis of what’s shaping the humanitarian world today.
Relatable stories: Because we’ve all had “that” moment in the field, and we might as well laugh (or cry) about it together.
My mission? To bring a little clarity—and maybe even a little fun—to the often overwhelming world of humanitarian leadership. This space is for you both, veteran in the field or newly appointed project manager.
Pull up a metaphorical chair, grab your favorite caffeine fix, and let’s have some insightful fun together (or funny insights?).
